It is unfortunate that with budget limitations and a focus on the bottom line, creativity in education and industry has become a rare opportunity. It is rare to have the ability to experiment and play; to accept and rejoice failure, understanding that truly innovative design interventions rarely occur on a first try. Businesses have come to accept improved rather than new and have succumbed to the limitations of design by committee.
Fortunately, innovation leaders around the world are beginning to recognize this problem and are acting to change the corporate landscape to applaud the creative process.
I want to be one of these leaders.
